Cloths and towels — 茶布 (Cha Bu) — is the general name for any tea fabric. Among them one can distinguish 茶席 (Cha Xi) — large cloths on which the tea ceremony is held in the dry gongfu tradition, and 茶巾 (Cha Jin) — a small towel used in the tea process. With it you can hold a hot teapot or chahai, wipe water, create another level on the plane of the tea stage or a colourful accent in your composition. The cloth not only protects the table surface from hot water, but also sets the overall style of your tea stage. Absorbing water and tea, the fabric darkens — a natural imprint of time in which your tea sessions are imprinted.
