When I first took it out of the box, I was simply blown away.
My strongest impression is that the teapot looks and feels like stone. Even empty, it weighs over 200 grams, and looking closely, you get the distinct feeling that it wasn't shaped from clay like ordinary teapots, but carved right out of a massive boulder. Naturally, the texture of the clay itself adds to this sensation. In short, it is a proprietary clay blend rich in minerals that soften the water. It seasons just as well as the famous Yixing clay and retains heat wonderfully. Returning to the teapot, it is technically flawless: a very robust filter, a precision-fitted lid, and an incredible pour.
