This authentic Ukrainian pot has traveled quite a journey before finding its way into my hands alongside another ash pot.
I don't know what they went through before reaching me, but with me in 2025, they became part of a theatrical performance based on the works of Taras Shevchenko, and later I used this pot as a tea pond in my own tea sessions. So, you could say it has truly been through fire and water.
From my experience, these pots look wonderful on the table among traditional teaware and perfectly serve the function of a Chinese Chayu—a water basin for discarding rinse water and spent tea leaves in the Gan Pao dry brewing tradition.
