Anagama firing by oshe.lesh
Hu Cheng "Void"
Most commonly, the word "void" refers to a vast cosmic region between galaxy filaments where almost no galaxies exist. A void is often portrayed as a magical realm of darkness, nothingness, or chaos, while in certain practices, it is called a "realm of ignorance" or the space between ordinary and enlightened states of mind that must be cleared. This is precisely how this stand feels to me.
It was fired using the Japanese anagama technique—over 72 hours in a specialized kiln and 4 days of cooling. Thanks to the settling fly ash, the surface took on an incredible semi-glazed texture reminiscent of metal.
