Handcrafted from clay and coated with a thick layer of glaze. Fired using the traditional Shino technique, which gives the glaze a creamy matte finish reminiscent of snow or mist. The surface features bold crackle crazing that will be seasoned by tea over time. The clay texture resembles natural earth still bearing the footprints of travelers. A very intriguing texture and shape. The Chahai itself has a pleasant heft and sits comfortably in the hand.
