Ruyixuan Workshop
Shu Puer "Tea Soup", 2009
Pieces
Pressed in 2025 from premium 2009 Gong Ting material from Menghai County. The small Gong Ting grade brews quickly into a dense, thick soup.
The aroma reveals sweet notes of prunes, dates, and rice porridge.
The taste opens with a rich, refined nuttiness and moves toward woody tones reminiscent of carob. Sweet, without unwanted bitterness, it occasionally reveals a mushroom note. The texture is oily, with an aftertaste of dark chocolate and berry tartness.
It induces an intriguing state of slowing down—as if you yourself become a smooth, flowing soup, followed by a transition into a state of alertness and focus.
