Sign in滑竹梁子 (Huazhu Liangzi) is one of the highest peaks in Xishuangbanna (approx. 2429 m), located in the 勐宋 (Mengsong) area. It is one of the oldest ancient tea tree regions in Menghai and a prestigious Puer terroir.
Huazhu Liangzi Gu Shu Cha is a collective name for tea sourced from eight village tea gardens: four Baotang (保塘) villages, three Banglong (蚌龙) villages, and Bamo (坝檬/坝模) village, home to three ethnic groups: Hani (哈尼族), Lahu (拉祜族), and Han (汉族).
The defining feature of this tea is its exceptionally high content of active compounds (polyphenols, amino acids, aromatic substances), giving the infusion a rich taste and a full-bodied texture.
The cake is loosely pressed and almost crumbles in your hands. In its dry form, it releases a bright aroma of honey and pastries, with notes of baked milk and coffee. Once awakened and throughout the brewing session, the aroma turns into classic notes of plum.
The flavor is rich, reminiscent of brewed filter coffee with sugar (or without sugar, yet remarkably sweet)! Wood and plum notes occasionally emerge, while the aftertaste coats the palate with chocolate and nuts.
It provides a smooth, gentle boost of energy, clears the mind, and sharpens focus—exactly what you expect from a high-quality tea.
