2015 "Island of Trees" Shu Puer
Weight
Vanilla ice cream · walnut wood · chocolate
Description: An aged Shu puer crafted from century-old arbor trees in Menghai. Fermented in 2015 using traditional techniques, the tea aged slowly for a decade in Menghai and Kunming warehouses before finally being pressed into cakes in 2025.
Aroma: The warmed leaves greet you with the sweet fragrance of rich vanilla ice cream in a waffle cup, finished with a subtle drop of berry jam inside.
Taste: Soft and gentle—completely unlike the rough profile of an ordinary Shu. Creamy vanilla ice cream weaves together with the scent of young walnut wood from a childhood backyard. It unfolds into deep chocolate layers, while select infusions reveal subtle fruit and sweet rice notes.
Texture: Reddish-brown liquor reminiscent of aged sandalwood heartwood. When poured, it carries an oily sheen and releases a warming aroma. The broth is smooth and remarkably easy-drinking, almost like rice water, carrying Menghai's characteristic, lightly textured body.
State: Clear-headedness, gentle alertness, and deep relaxation.
