This Hucheng—or simply a teapot stand (or stand for other teaware)—was fired using the Japanese Anagama technique: 2 days of firing in a dedicated kiln and 4 days of cooling. It is coated with traditional Japanese Shino glaze, which blended with settling wood ash during the firing process, creating its unique pattern.
